Dual Strobes in Underwater PhotographyEverything you need to know about Dual Strobes in Underwater Photography .
Two stobes? What for? Well while it's true that it is not always necessary to use dual strobes there are certain circumstances that shooting with more thna one streobe seems taylor made for. For example, in order to improve the clarity, color ans overall quality of our underwater photos, we need to get as close as possible to our subject thereby reducing the volume of water between the subject and lens. When shooting subjects that are anything lagre then a fish, this ussually requires us to shoot with a wida angle lens. Many strobes do not spread their beam of light accross a wide enough field to light the entire subject evenly. This is where adding a second strobe increases that field of coverage and ensures an evenly lit photo from edge to edge. |
